Learn how to nurture and nourish yourself with Ayurvedic practices for autumn followed by a rejuvenating restorative yoga session. Enjoy learning how this time of year affects our body and mind, and how to support yourself. Delight in delicious homemade Ayurvedic treats and herbal chai tea as you explore how to balance your system during the season change.
Restorative yoga is a more passive, meditative form of yoga that helps release tension through gentle poses supported with props held for five minutes or more. This practice allows for a deeper focus on the breath and full body rejuvenation.
Ayurveda means life wisdom. It is an ancient system of health care and preventive medicine that developed in India thousands of years ago. Based in nature, its tools are foods, herbs, lifestyle changes, and activities like yoga and meditation designed to restore balance to the body and mind. To learn more about Ayurveda, check out Ivy Ingram’s wonderful introduction to Ayurveda.
I will be co-leading another Ayurveda workshop with Ivy on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 and we will also be hosting an Ayurveda/Yoga Retreat April 24th-27th, 2025.
The workshop is $45. Pre-registration is required.
