This all levels class rejuvenates the mind and body through grounding, calming sequences to end your day in bliss and prepare for a good night’s rest. Relax the mind, strengthen the body and focus the breath in this class designed to support your physical and emotional health through longer-held postures and hands-on assists to take you deeper. Beginners and advanced practitioners welcome.
All are welcome; no experience necessary.

Betsy’s Style

Betsy’s compassion-based yoga classes nourish and nurture the nervous system. Her classes re-align and energize the body and mind through longer holds thoughtfully sequenced in intentional flows. Pranayama practices (breathwork),  therapeutic adjustments, and yoga philosophy give students the opportunity to experience embodiment on and off the yoga mat. With a desire to make yoga accessible to all people, her classes are great for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners and are a safe space for bodies of all ages, shapes, and sizes.

All private classes are customized to your body’s needs and include a pre-consultation to discuss your health goals. You will receive documentation of each session to keep as a reference guide. Yoga & Meditation workshops for Workteams

Yoga for children & Families

One-on-one yoga for children of all ages mitigates anxiety, cultivates calm, develops confidence and courage, and enhances overall well-being. Betsy highly customizes these classes to best suit the individual child. She also offers small group classes for birthday parties, homeschool groups, aftercare programs and more. Additionally, she teaches private family yoga classes. In these unique sessions, she works with families to build a nurturing sequence for everyone.

Background

Betsy’s yoga journey began when she attended her first class at age eleven. After nearly a decade of practice, she earned her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2011. In August of 2012, she returned to Kripalu to complete Shake Your Soul Yoga Dance Teacher Training with Daniel Leven. Additionally, she completed the Thousand Petals Yoga six-month immersion program in 2014 and the five-month meditation program in 2019. She has taught yoga for over twelve years to diverse students from ages four to one hundred.

She believes yoga is for everyone and every body of all ages, shapes, and sizes. As a yoga teacher, she strives to make the practice more accessible through a supportive, safe, and non-competitive environment that cultivates connection to self and others. Yoga supported her in recovering from a decade-long struggle with an eating disorder and body dysmorphia, which informs her conscious, body-positive approach to teaching. Her compassion-centered classes inspire exploration, embodiment, and enjoyment. Healing on an individual and collective level is at the core of her teaching philosophy.
